The project consists, generally of a new 4 story building, plus partial basement, 150,000 SF municipal courthouse. It is constructed of masonry foundations on Geopiers, structure steel framing and concrete slab on metal deck floor construction.  The exterior envelope consists of curtain wall and storefront construction, as well as etched precast masonry wall panels.  

The interior of the facility includes courtrooms, judges’ chambers, full kitchen and café, and a verity of municipal services offices.  In addition, a bridge is constructed to connect the MLK Justice Building to the existing adjacent county’s Hall of Records Build.

The site construction work includes numerous public and private utility tie-ins including additional security redundancies.  Project also includes sidewalks, curbing, paving, signage, striping, etc. with a public plaza and promenade consisting of approximately 20,000 SF of custom pavers on the North and West sides and a grand stair and landings of approximately 17,000 SF of granite on the east.
