Essex County College West Essex Campus Ribbon Cutting

The grand opening of Essex County College's West Essex campus wrote a new chapter in its 55 years of services to the community.  Inside the new West Caldwell campus building during the grand opening / ribbon cutting ceremony included 200 guests who filled the room including Governor Phil Murphy along with his wife Tammy and Essex County Executive Joseph N. DiVincenzo, Jr.

The New West Essex Campus is a testament to innovation and education. This state-of-the-art facility stands as a beacon of progress, providing a cutting-edge learning environment for students in Essex County and beyond. The West Caldwell Building located on Bloomfield Avenue represents a significant investment in higher education infrastructure, featuring modern classrooms, advanced laboratories, collaborative spaces, and cutting-edge technology throughout. Designed to promote interdisciplinary learning and foster creativity, this facility will empower students to reach new heights in their academic journeys.

With sustainability at its core, the four-story 51,700 SF building features energy-efficient systems and environmentally friendly design elements, aligning with our commitment to a greener future.

The main building consists of a double-glass façade that gives the school a very high-tech look and will house four computer labs, classrooms, multi-purpose halls, the Skilled and Technical Science Academy, and the Information Commons.

The multiple construction phases include a new 350 space parking deck and a soccer field. The soccer field will be used by both Essex Community College’s Men’s and Women’s Soccer teams and other area high schools.

JINGOLI provided complete Project and Construction Management services through construction, occupancy, and project close-out.
