The project consisted of designing and building a Variable Frequency Transformer Facility that transformed 300 MW of electrical power from the 230kV substation in Linden, New Jersey to 345kv which was required  for New York City. Joseph Jingoli & Son, Inc. excavated approximately 30,000 cy of existing soils, backfill with structural aggregate, install 325 piles, and designed and constructed a new three story structure to house the VFT, stormwater and oily water separator systems, fire protection systems, all electrical equipment and components.
